The training school in El Vergel, the Institute of Natural Studies (IEN El Vergel), is already working hard on the new 2015-2016 courses starting in September and October. Naturopathy, herbalism, natural cosmetics, aromatherapy and holistic kinesology are just some of the training courses offered by a school at the forefront of holistic teaching linked to natural health methods.
The history of IEN El Vergel began more than five years ago with the aim of covering the need for professionalization and specialization in the natural health sector. Throughout this time it has become a reference centre in the centre of the capital (calle mayor, 58, piso 3º1) thanks to its holistic and horizontal training and a young and dynamic teaching team who are experts in each subject. The success of IEN is due to its commitment to practical teaching that integrates different therapeutic methods and transmits a deep respect for people, nature and traditional methods of different cultures.
Vocation for the student
The most important thing for the IEN teaching team, led by Fernando Aparicio, are its students. Their evolution and needs throughout the training and learning process are carefully monitored. After the completion of the courses, people who have passed all the practices are qualified to start practicing natural therapies and receive a diploma accredited by the Spanish Professional Association of Naturopathy and Biotherapy -APENB-. For this academic year 2015-2016, the IEN presents a very interesting and varied program that we will detail in this article.
COURSES
Naturopathy
For another season, the Naturopathy program is organized, backed by the peace of mind of seeing more students trained at the school grow as therapists. The IEN offers a 3-year professional training that includes the basics of Anatomy, Biochemistry, Physiopathology and Dietetics as well as a holistic approach to the human being through subjects such as Phytotherapy, Kinesiology, Psychology, Reflexology, Bach Flowers, Chinese Medicine…an investigation that integrates the naturist philosophy and that bets on a practical training and an autonomous student who discovers his potential in his daily life by providing him with the tools to practice Naturopathy. At the end of the three years a diploma is awarded, accredited by the APENB, which allows the student to practice as a therapist within Spain without any problem.
